Patricia A. Bennett, Esq., is a distinguished elder law attorney with more than 30 years of dedicated service to individuals and families throughout Monmouth County and the State of New Jersey. As the owner of Patricia A. Bennett, Esq., P.C., in Red Bank, New Jersey, she has built a reputation for integrity, leadership, and unwavering advocacy.

Education

Patricia earned her Bachelor of Arts in History from Seton Hall University in 1977, followed by her Juris Doctor from Seton Hall Law School in 1980. Her academic foundation has supported a lifelong commitment to excellence in legal practice and public service.

Legal Career & Leadership

Over the course of her career, Patricia has focused on elder law, helping clients navigate complex legal matters with clarity and compassion. She is a proud member of the National Association of Elder Law Attorneys and has long been recognized as a leader in her field.


Her professional milestones include:

  • Owner of the first all-women law firm in Monmouth County (Bennett & Smith, P.C.)
  • Former Trustee of Ocean-Monmouth Legal Services
  • Former Adjunct Professor of Paralegal Studies at Monmouth University and Brookdale College
  • Member and Treasurer of the Monmouth County Democratic Women’s Caucus
  • Commissioner and Secretary of the Monmouth County Board of Elections

Historic Firsts

Patricia has achieved several groundbreaking accomplishments throughout her career:

  • First Woman Surrogate in Monmouth County
  • One of the first New Jersey Surrogates to computerize record-keeping procedures and publish materials for public use
  • First Democratic woman elected to a countywide office in Monmouth County
  • First President of the Ocean-Monmouth Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NJAWBO)
  • Her trailblazing leadership has paved the way for women in law and public service across the region.

Public Service

In addition to her legal practice, Patricia has served as a Councilperson in Howell Township, further demonstrating her deep commitment to community engagement and civic leadership.

Personal

Patricia is married to Bill Robinson and is the proud mother of Dr. Pauline Robinson. Family, service, and community remain central to her life and professional mission.
